We chose it because it makes smart use of materials. Each keychain is made from scrap hair-on-hide that would otherwise go unused, paired with solid brass hardware for durability. The natural variation in the hide means no two are exactly alike, which keeps it feeling personal rather than uniform.

Made by Primecut in Portland, Oregon, it reflects the brand’s focus on functional design and thoughtful use of materials.

The clip makes it easy to attach to a bag, belt loop, or hook by the door, so your keys are always where you expect them to be. The hair-on-hide adds texture and grip, making it easier to find at the bottom of a bag or pocket.

It’s small, sturdy, and built for daily use—an object you interact with constantly, made a little nicer without being fussy.
