This scrunchie is a small object that gets used a lot. It’s the thing you grab when pulling your hair back to cook, work, run errands, or just get it out of your face.

We chose it because it’s made thoughtfully. Each scrunchie is sewn from deadstock and small-loom fabric scraps, keeping usable material out of the waste stream. That approach means no two are exactly the same, and the slight variation in size and pattern is part of the design.

The cotton fabric is soft and gentle, making it easy to wear all day without tugging or leaving dents in your hair.

This is the scrunchie you keep on your wrist so it’s always there when you need it. Use it for a quick ponytail while getting ready, a loose bun at work, or to tie your hair back at the end of the day.

It works just as well as an accessory as it does as a tool. The black-and-white gingham adds a little contrast without feeling loud, and it holds up to repeated use and washing.
